The Las Vegas Can Can Room is closed permanently. Good Riddance. On July 19, 2019 2 dancers at the Can Can Room were arrested for prostitution. This was a regular thing at the Can Can Room. They even ran an escort agency at the club that offered “full service” both inside and outside the club. I guess that explains why they advertised a “24 hour market.” The Can Can Room’s license was suspended on July 30, 2019 and the club is not expected to re-open.
The building which has been in Vegas longer than most of the Casinos is owned by Siegel Group. They are suing Can Can Room owner Sam Aldabbagh for running an illegal brothel and requiring dancers to perform sexual acts for himself and club customers.
The lawsuit alleges that Aldabbagh and the club hired a madam to screen potential dancers and collect money from customers for sex acts. The suit also alleges that Aldabbagh and his friends watched the sex acts via video and audio surveillance systems in the club. Word on the street is that these allegations are true, although Aldabbagh denies all charges. We do know for certain that the “madam” has opened her own escort agency in town. Not sure how or if she will survive the legal proceedings associated with the Can Can Room Closure.
For the record, Prostitution is Legal in Nevada, but not in Clark County which is where Las Vegas is located. In the rest of the state it is legal only inside a legally licensed brothel. It is however legal to have a private stripper or massage therapist fully nude in your home or Las Vegas Hotel. Here’s everything you need to know about Vegas Private Strippers and Massage Services.
THE CAN CAN ROOM NEVER WAS A LEGIT STRIP CLUB IN MY OPINION.
I visited the Can Can Room, once…that was enough. It was a high pressure tourist trap with all the typical scams. Legitimate strip clubs offer high quality entertainment in a fun stress free environment filled with attractive women. Can Can Room offered none of this. It was always the 2nd worst club in town. Floyd Mayweather’s Girl Collection is the worst, for entirely different reasons. In my observation over the last 30 plus years clubs that lose their license never re-open. If the lawsuit goes to trial and the Seigel group provides dancers who tell about being forced to prostitute inside the club and the other goings on there, it could be fun and interesting to watch.
